Working paper 1

The MoveMe project is pleased to present the first joint working paper Potentials for Sustainable Mobility in the Hannover region (in German). In the report we analyze the initial situation in the region with regard to transport development, transport policy discourses and changes in ways of living and working. The core finding is that individual communities differ greatly in their spatial structural conditions and thus require region-specific strategies for modal shift. In particular, commuter traffic between municipalities and everyday traffic in rural areas require new, innovative solutions. The working paper provides an overview of the traffic situation in the Hannover region and is the basis and starting point for future empirical work.
